But I've discovered I'm happiest at the ocean. I am an avid scuba diver and travel frequently to the caribbean and south pacific to indulge my habit.

I've been married for 12 years now to a great guy and we have four children: Matt, 19 (not my biological child, but he calls me Mom -my husband and I started dating when he was only 3), Brendan, 9, Kailey, 6, and Nicholas, 17 months. It's hectic and busy, but I really wouldn't want it any other way. If I do say so myself, I have great kids. I put my 13 year teaching career aside for a few years to be a stay-at-home Mom. It's so true that the kids will only be young once. I'd like to participate in that "youngness" as much as possible. Something Interesting in the last 20 Years:My husband and I have traveled to 12 different countries, mostly in Europe. Another interesting thing is that I taught at Colerain Middle School (where I used to be a student!) for six years. The first couple of years were sometimes funny in the sense that I would walk around a corner in the hall and remember my friends and I being in that same hall, running to class so we wouldn't be late or passing notes about boys and what we would do that weekend. It doesn't seem that long ago! Things at the former Colerain Junior High hadn't changed much when I taught there. Kids still ran to class to avoid being late. They still sent messages to each other, usually just by text now. A big change for some of my former teachers was that I was now their colleague. It's amazing what they remember!
