Something Interesting in the last 20 Years:Earned my B.S. degree from University of Cincinnati in chemistry (1993) and my Ph.D. degree in synthetic organic chemistry (2000). During my graduate studies I played a major role in the design and synthesis of DB-67, which is an experimental drug for cancer chemotherapy. It was recently granted an IND (investigational new drug status) and is in clinical trials to study its effectiveness in human cancer patients. After my work at the University of Pittsburgh, I went on to the University of Kentucky, where I did two post-doc's. The first post-doc involved the development of new DB-67 analogs, while the second post-doc centered around carbon nanotubes and their combustion. In 2002, I took a position at Athersys, Inc. as an associate scientist in the drug discovery group. Over the next three years, I worked on numerous projects aimed at treating cancer, asthma and obesity. In 2005, I moved back to Cincinnati and took a position as a flavor chemist at Givaudan Flavors Corporation.

I took as many as 26 credit hours per semester @ Xavier University while holding down both full and part time jobs, raising my son and dealing with the every day trials and tribulations of adult life. Anyone hiring? Life as a children's SUPERhero isn't helping me keep up with Bushenomics!(-; 3. The honor of performing the beautiful song I wrote (the night before) in memory of our beloved classmates we have lost over the years, then rocking the house with my band @ the class of 1988's 20 year reunion. Something Interesting in the last 20 Years:I remember like it was yesterday... Graduating from Colerain with hopes, dreams, goals, aspirations and the idea that the world was mine and the sky was the limit.... As planned since I was graced with my first Brutus Buckeye sweatshirt at the age of 8, I was off to Buckeyeland for a short stint in Scarlett and Grayville. From there, curiousity called my name and I began my "Forrest Gump" tour through life, experiencing just about everything from being in a major motion picture, trying to climb the corporate ladder to singing on stage next to Prince. Eventually, I realized that I couldn't hide from my true calling and purpose. I jumped back to my roots and have been writing and recording music & playing in different bands for the last 18+ years. Over the years, I was blessed enough to perform on the same bills as Earth, Wind and Fire, Blues Traveler, Run DMC, Gerald Albright, Boney James, WAR, The Ohio Players and the late Rick James. I play (somewhere)just about every weekend, so if you are interested in getting out sometime, drop me a line....
